Can you buy globes of other planets?

We knew the geography of the Earth long before we knew anything about the other planets beyond their paths across the sky. Now that our spacecraft have sent back detailed images of each of the other planets, however, globemakers have turned their attention to making globes of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus, not to mention a few of the smaller objects in the solar system.

Here are some of the best planetary globes you can buy from around the world.

solar-powered spinning Jupiter globe from MOVA

Planetary MOVA Globes

MOVA make truly innovative globes that spin magically under solar power. Not stopping at terrestrial globes, they’ve spun off globes of other planets: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune. Uranus, sadly, is missing, but MOVA make up for it with globes of other spherical bodies in the solar system: the dwarf planet Pluto, Saturn’s largest moon Titan and the asteriod Vesta.

Prices: $125 – $340
